FFXIV ARR Forum - Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn
Hello there, everyone. Producer and Director Yoshi-P here to wish you all a Happy New Year!
2017 was a fantastic year. The release of our second expansion, Stormblood, was a great success, and we’ve seen more players online than ever before. It goes without saying our accomplishments over the past year wouldn’t have been possible without your support. I can’t thank you enough for your continued patronage.
As mentioned during the LIVE letter in December, our first major update of the year, patch 4.2, will be released at the end of this month. Plans for the FFXIV Fan Festival 2018-2019 are also well underway. With a year’s worth of preparation going into the event anything can happen, but I’m afraid you’ll have to wait to learn what we have in store.
It’s also worth mentioning we aim to do more than hold Fan Festivals. In fact, I’ve already settled on plans for another event over a year from now. I suggest keeping a look out for future announcements to find out what it is....
Patch 4.2 is nearly here, and today's preview offers a look at the dangers lurking within Hell’s Lid, as well as the hard incarnation of the Fractal Continuum. Check out the new dungeons arriving in Patch 4.2.

We're taking a break from segments this episode, and just giving our casual review of patch 3.1, and then a rant about the state of the game. You have been warned!
Players can now purchase the following via the FINAL FANTASY XIV: Mog Station:
New Optional Items
Now, you can dress up as your favourite scion of the seventh dawn! Check out the details and the other new items available in the Mog Station here!
The beast tribes are not always what they appear, and in today's patch 3.1 preview, you'll get a peek at a new quest series that will change the way you think about the Vanu Vanu.
Vanu Vanu Beast Tribe Quests
The Vundu tribe, having summoned the primal Bismarck, wasted no time in establishing dominance over other Vanu Vanu tribes and claiming the Sea of Clouds as their own. The peaceful Zundu tribe continue to oppose their tyranny, however, and now seek the aid of an adventurer to help their people.
After unlocking the beast tribe daily quests, players will be able to undertake several quests which change on a daily basis. By completing them, players can improve their reputation with the Vanu Vanu. At certain milestones, you will be given the opportunity to undertake main beast tribe quests, which...
