TV's in the background is probably my fault. Brother in law comes in and watches tv while I'm podcasting half the time, can't wait till he goes back to school next month.

Okay I'm still new and am watching all the podcasts.

Oh and just to let you know the TVs = lag because more information / data is being transmitted Not because..of..what you were saying..or..whoever was saying. (Can't tell whos who other than you and Maaja)

Thanks Fiona, I've got a premium VPN, as they're the only ones unblocked here. We tried a private TS w/ the VPN; had the same issue. Trust me, we've put the options through their paces, and Skype w/o a VPN still comes out as the winner in connectivity, uptime and sound quality (so long as we can get a few less TVs in the background). And, really, it's not usually an issue on our typical time slot.

Looking forward to seeing your channels :)

ahhhhh. ... I see Than your goal is to get a Premium VPN that will work Properly. And buy a Teamspeak server Probably in Cali Since I'm guessing everyone else is in the US.

Luckily Teamspeak servers are cheap about 5-10$ for 15ish voice slots.
And I think a good VPN is about 30$ a month.

Sure you can check out my Twitch or Youtube. I'll pm you the links.

The issue with roboting is due to the fact I'm in Shanghai, and unfortunately wouldn't be solved with a typical dedicated server (such as TS) as those VoIP services are all blocked by the great firewall. Using a VPN to access them is just as hit or miss as just using Skype. It's usually not an issue that occurs more than once or twice an episode, however. This episode was just at an unusual time with high traffic. Most of our episodes don't have any roboting.

What we're planning for next episode isn't a live stream so much as a video of us in game while we're recording. We'd love help with editing, etc. please feel free to send me a PM if you're interested in chatting more about it.

Our type of show really wouldn't be well-suited for streaming. We may try it out at some point, but right now we're wholly focused on having a good offering for YouTube. That and hoping to put out episodes more frequently means we have our hands pretty full at the moment.

As for us sounding bored with the game, I don't hear it. Might just be our voices disagree with you. If we sounded particularly lacklustre this episode, it likely had more to do with the issues recording than our fondness of the game. I'm sure the next episode will sound a lot more positive.

@Sword OBS. Play some sort of generic FF14 videos or facecams like MrHappy.

I need to know everyone's Normal speeds, uploads and downloads to go further.

If you would like specific help with some of this, Here is a list of things I can do.
*Make Overlays for OBS or Youtube.
    * Create a video file for Intros and Outros
    * Help in the setup of OBS and settings etc, for making sure audio levels are okay

My Internet speeds about 80/10 Mbps
    * b = bit B= byte. 1mb = 1000 kb while 1MB = 1000KB
    (I can upload a 10GB video in about an hour :D )

Pro tip if nothing changes with the stream PLEASE for the love of Eorzea, Use Google Hangouts.

Or a Dedicated server (Premium) Teamspeak.

The issues that occurs during the Podcast with everyone becoming Fuzzy and Robotic is due to a fluctuation in Internet frequencies. Skype is sharing a connection between The host being Fybrile, With EVERYONE else that joins. He and Everyone there must uplaod their video and audio to EVERYONE in the call So here is an example.

Fybrile > Audio data upload > Clients "David, Sword etc,"
"Clients" > Audio Video data upload > Fybrile

With a Dedicated server EVERYONE would be uploading and downloading from that single server exclusively putting No extra strain on anyone's own connection.

I'm a resident over on the LinusTechTips forum Username: Ariona.
Since I assume Fybrile is the most Tech savvy being a PC gamer I would advise him if would like to get a 2nd opinion to go there and get some collaborative assistance.

@Fiona If we can get some kind of streaming service that would work well with Fyb's recording software, and not have connection or quality problems like we have with Skype it's definitely a possibility. Do you have any suggestions Fiona?
